The Amalfi Coast road, carved into the cliffs between Positano and Vietri, is one of the most spectacular drives in Europe and one of the most demanding. With a local driver at the wheel you can simply look: the houses of Positano stacked above the sea, the cathedral of Amalfi at the top of its stairway, the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, suspended three hundred metres above the water.
The itinerary and the pace are yours. The driver suggests where to stop for lunch, for a limoncello or a ceramic workshop in Vietri, and waits while you explore each town.
From Naples the coast is about an hour and a half by car; the day ends back at your hotel.

Day experience, accommodation not included. For your stay in Naples we suggest Decumani Hotel de Charme, set in the palazzo of the last archbishop of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, in the UNESCO-listed historic centre.
