An hour north of Venice, between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the land folds into steep, narrow hills planted with vines to the very top. This is where Prosecco Superiore comes from, and since 2019 the landscape has been a UNESCO World Heritage site: terraces worked by hand, hamlets, small churches and family cellars.
The day includes two wineries run by the families who own them, with tastings of Prosecco Superiore DOCG and the rarer Cartizze, served with local cheeses and cured meats, and a walk among the vineyards on the Strada del Prosecco.
Guests travel in a small group, never more than eleven, with a licensed guide and transport from Venice.
Hotel
Day experience, accommodation not included. For your stay in Venice we suggest Ruzzini Palace, a sixteenth-century palazzo on Campo Santa Maria Formosa, between Rialto and St. Mark's, with frescoed halls and painted beams.
