Careful, painstaking restoration works have revived the ancient splendour of the rooms in Palazzo Leopoldo, where the charm of history is still alive amid  frescoes, original terracotta stoves, stone fireplaces, terracotta tiled floors and antique furnishings. Most furniture pieces are authentic and have been inherited from the aristocratic Minucci household such as old trunks and travelling hatboxes, pier mirrors and vintage wardrobes, writing desks and precious dressing tables. The Umberto Suite offers lavish accommodation with its spacious living room and fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, cooker and tableware. Two chaises longues, a fireplace and a fine 19th-century chiselled writing desk add to the elegance and comfort of the suite. If you are looking for a particularly romantic stay, choose one of the suites with canopied bed, exposed wooden beams and terracotta tiled floor. A plus is a splendid panoramic view over the hills of Chiantishire.  All the rooms feature satellite TV, Jacuzzi, air conditioning and heating. 

A truly fascinating atmosphere wraps the restaurant set along the ancient living rock walled and paved  trench linking the historic centre of Radda and its main street. La Perla del Palazzo  is the name of the hotel restaurant where you can savour the best traditional dishes of Tuscan and typical Chianti cuisine, such as home made pasta with game and  season vegetable sauces and stewed or pot roast meat complemented by a rich, fine wine list. Special traditional desserts and customised menus to suit all requirements. In fine season lunches and romantic dinners can be served in the garden, where guests can admire  the lovely surrounding landscape.

Vignavecchia Spa is a modern and stylish ambience, created in the old site of Vignavecchia Wine Cellar in Radda, in the heart of Chianti, where you can find peace and balance between your body and spirit. The Wellness Centre is perfect for any time of the day; either to start your day or to recuperate your energy after an afternoon of hiking or biking in the surrounding area.
Inside Vignavecchia Spa you will find a sauna, a Turkish bath with colour therapy, a Kneipp waterway, with jets of water of various temperatures, for a hydrotherapy treatment that improves blood circulation and combats fluid retention. The seat of the Consortium of Chianti Classico, Radda is the town of vineyards, located on a hill between the valleys of the rivers Pesa and Arbia in the province of Siena. The charming historic centre with its maze of medieval alleys and picturesque corners is sheltered by the ancient walls. All around the town, long white roads wind across the neat rows of the extensive vineyards where the best Tuscan wines are made. Siena, the city of Palio and “cantucci”, is only about half an hour's drive from Radda.
 
How to get there:
By car: if coming from the noth: exit Firenze-Certosa along A1 Motorway, then proceed on the Firenze- Siena motorway junction, exit at San Donato and follow indications to Radda in Chianti: If coming from the south: exit Valdarno along A1 Motorway, then proceed on SS408 and on SS429 towards Radda in Chianti.
By train: Montevarchi railway station, on the Firenze-Arezzo railway line, or
Poggibonsi railway station on the Firenze-Siena railway line.
By air: Firenze airport, about 70 Km away.
