The Palm terrace Junior Suite has a small sitting room, a terrace with seaview, queen-size bed, deck chairs and private access to enjoy the scenic view of the palm terrace. The Atrium double bedroom on the ground floor by the garden side has a shaded terrace and a window facing the courtyard. The Classic double room by the garden side on the first floor offers a lovely view of the courtyard and is equipped with Jacuzzi.

Taormina is the pearl of the Sicilian coastline, a chich resort town beloved of holidaying high-rollers and celebrities. The town's historic centre is an amazing mixture of Arab, Norman and Baroque heritage. Corso Umberto is the pedestrian high street sided by elegant and fashionable designer shops and boutiques, quaint souvenir and local products selling shops, as wells as coffee bars where you cannot miss a granita câ panna or câ brioscia. Isola Bella juts out from the blue sea in a suggestive cove just below the historic centre. If you want to get there you can take the cableway to Mazzarò or walk down the romantic path, possibly at sunset - a really enthralling experience for lovers! Taormina's best know monument is its Greek Theatre, where dramas and musical are still stunningly staged. The Taormina Arte festival is hosted there in the fine season, with a rich programme of music events, dance, cinema and theatre.

The other pearls of eastern Sicily are within easy reach. The background is dominated by the impressive, awe-inspiring skyline of Mount Etna crowned, at its foot, by a host of carob trees, orange and lemon trees, olive groves, oaks, chestnut trees, beech and birch woods. Along the Wine Trail of Etna you can just hop from winery to winery and taste Etna DOC, either white, red or rosé. Jump onto a train of the Circumetnea Railway line and you will be plunged at the heart of stunning landscapes patched with vineyards from which Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese wines are produced. A little further on you will reach Bronte, the capital of Sicilian pistachio nuts, then the Alcantara valley and the magic atmosphere of medieval Randazzo.
