Welcome to Hotel Zash, a historic estate nestled in the heart of Sicily, embodying stories, traditions, and the warm hospitality of the Maugeri family. Since the 1930s, when Giuseppe Maugeri acquired the property from Don N’zinu d’Amico, the estate has embarked on a journey through time, becoming a place of memories, work, and celebration tied to the end-of-summer grape harvest traditions.
Originally equipped with a lush vineyard and citrus grove, the estate underwent a transformation in the 1960s when grape cultivation was replaced with the more suitable production of lemons and citrus fruits, making the most of the mild climate and proximity to the sea, distinctive features of this fertile land.
The inception of Zash marked the beginning of a new era for the estate: the manor house, the wine press, and the garden were renovated and restored to their ancient glory, transformed into a vibrant and welcoming space entirely dedicated to guests. These places, rich in history, now offer a new perspective, blending the charm of the past with the comfort and elegance of modern services. Thus, Hotel Zash is much more than just a place to stay: it is a destination where history, culture, and the natural beauty of Sicily come together to create a unique and immersive experience.

At the heart of Hotel Zash lies the ancient wine press, once the scene of grape pressing, now transformed into the core of our restaurant and lounge bar's exclusive culinary proposition. This space, a symbol of the historic winemaking tradition of the Etna area, is where past and present merge through a passion for gastronomy, leading guests on a sensory journey through the innovative flavors of contemporary Sicilian cuisine. SPA
Inspired by Sicilian values and modern well-being, the SPA combines natural elements and tradition in a deep relaxation experience. The Etna volcanic stone characterizes the pool, offering a unique connection with the island's nature, while water paths and wood underfoot prepare guests for the warm welcome of the intimate hammam and sauna spaces, enriched with the aromas of our garden. The winemaking past of the cellar is renewed in a sanctuary of well-being.
