Villa il Patriarca is an ancient noble residence of the nineteenth century. which today, after a careful renovation, represents an exclusive residence in Tuscany.
Surrounded by a large park and beautiful hill views, it is located halfway between Chiusi and the renowned spa town of Chianciano Terme. In the immediate vicinity we can also admire, among others, Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino, home of Brunello.
Of ancient historical origins, Villa il Patriarca rests its foundations on the original Etruscan villa dated between the 5th and 4th centuries BC. . During the Roman Empire and in subsequent eras, the Villa has always welcomed guests and prominent personalities, given the strategic importance of this land close to the passage of the Cassia road and thanks to the more recent construction of the State Railway in nearby Chiusi.
In 1999, a radical renovation led the hotel to obtain the 4 stars it has maintained to date. In 2003 the gourmet restaurant "I Salotti" obtained 1 Star in the Michelin Guide for the first time, and in 2005 the "Taverna del Patriarca" was opened in the ancient cellars of the residence.
Rooms
Our guests can choose from 22 rooms equipped with every comfort and different from each other in categories and furnishings. Some, located in the ancient wing of the Villa, retain all the elements of the typical Tuscan style; others, characterized by a softer style, are more elegant and refined in the furnishings. For those who want the magical atmosphere of stucco and damask can find it in the two exclusive Suites Fellini and Masina.
THE RESTAURANT
Villa il Patriarca offers two restaurants, different in environment and type.

The 1 Michelin Star gourmet restaurant, “I Salotti”, chef Katia Maccari, is elegantly furnished and adorned with lambris and boiserie; on the white and gilded consoles of the dining room the polychromatic charm of objects in silver and crystal is preserved. The cuisine is inspired by the Tuscan tradition, offering dishes of singular creativity and high-class service.
Alongside "I Salotti", with the aim of enhancing the renowned regional specialties, there is the "Taverna del Patriarca", created in the ancient cellars of the Villa. A very courteous service is combined with a simple and tasty cuisine with a very complex menu. The peculiarity of the Taverna is an open brazier, where it is possible to cook meat and fish specialties.
The wine selection of our restaurants is vast and boasts high quality labels.
