Relais il Canalicchio

"Relais Il Canalicchio" stands like a small jewel nestled on the top of a hill in the heart of green Umbria, an oasis of peace immersed in the green Umbrian countryside close to vineyards and olive groves. The Relais was born from the renovation of the ancient village of Canalicchio, built around the Castle of Poggio (dating back to the 10th-11th century) which dominates the town with its imposing tower.
Inside the village the historical and rural origins of the place are evident: it still retains the castle structure with an enormous millstone, the old press and enchanting arches that evoke the atmosphere and charm of past times.
The Relais is made up of two areas: the Borgo Resort, with rooms obtained from the renovation of the ancient village, and the Country Resort - at the gates of the ancient core - with spacious recently built Country Suites.
THE BORGO RESORT
The Borgo Resort has 30 rooms obtained from the main body and the adjacent building, finely furnished with clear references to English atmospheres.
In the Borgo Resort there are also the main services of the Relais:

THE COUNTRY RESORT
The Country Resort is located at the entrance to the village, approx. 90 meters from the reception. It is surrounded by a lush garden and is on two floors (without a lift). It offers accommodation in 16 spacious Country Suites (approx. 45 sqm in total) furnished with care, all with independent entrance.
Each Suite has a living room with sofa bed, private bathroom and one or two bedrooms and some also have an equipped kitchenette. The upstairs Country Suites have a private terrace, while those on the ground floor have a patio and share the garden and the splendid swimming pool.
All this guarantees a relaxing stay surrounded by the typical nature of the Umbrian landscape.
