The architecture of the building proves the complexity of its history, since at the beginning it used to be a religious building, later it became a private residence and lately it was changed into a resort. An evidence of its past is to be found in the country church of Nostra Signora dell'Annunciata, which were built in the first half of the eighteenth century the leave of the bishops' see. After closing the cloister the building was changed into a prestigious residential villa, and until 1919 it was used to give hospitality to the young orphans of the Calligari Institue of Padua while the girls of Madonnina from Casale used to go there on holiday.
