Owned by the family it is also a working farm on the hills of Reggio Emilia, where they produce the precious Balsamic vinegar: an excellent opportunity to visit the production and a tasting in the restaurant of the mansion.

Hotel Posta is located between the two main squares in Reggio Emilia: Piazza del Monte and Piazza del Duomo, overlooking Piazza Prampolini. A strategic location in downtown Reggio Emilia, convenient to all the city's main attractions.
Near the hotel are the elegant Palazzo del Monte di Pietà, Palazzo Bussetti, designed by Bernini, the Baptistery, the renovated Romanesque Cathedral, the Basilica of San Prospero with frescos by Procaccini, the Municipal Theater, the Basilica della Ghiara and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the ancient Caserma Zucchi.
When strolling downtown, spend time shopping in one of the numerous food stores. The region is world famous for our home made pasta, our delicious deli meats, acclaimed balsamic vinegar, parmigiano reggiano cheese and our wine.
Reggio Emilia is also famous for the nineteenth century Romolo Valli Municipal Theater, one of the most beautiful and functional theaters in Italy, with extraordinary gilded stucco décor.
How to get there:
By car: A1 highway, exit at Reggio Emilia and follow the signs for the city center. Near the ring road you'll find signs for the Hotel Posta.
By train: Reggio Emilia train station, about 3 km from the Hotel. TAV station - Mediopadana high speed train service, about 3 km north of the city center.
By air: The Bologna ‘Guglielmo Marconi’ airport is about 50 km from Reggio Emilia. Parma Giuseppe Verdi airport is about 30 km.
