Welcome to Dimora Garibaldi, an enchanting historic structure located in the heart of Castelnuovo Magra, a small medieval centre. This charming 18th century stately building is an authentic architectural jewel, recently restored bringing new light, floors, furniture and original decorations.
The house was the home of Annunziata Garibaldi and still belongs to her descendants. Inside you can breathe an extraordinary atmosphere of bygone eras, enriched by the modern spirit of the managers.
The rooms are arranged on 2 levels: on the ground floor there is the entrance, library, reception, cellar/refreshment, dining room; upstairs 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 rooms with fireplace and the large terrace overlooking the valley.
The welcome is taken care of down to the smallest detail, always attentive and available for every need.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served outdoors on the terrace or in case of bad weather in the internal room. Fresh foods supplied daily by local producers and naturally packaged, Italian foods of the highest quality guaranteed are offered. The basic menu consists of the classic sweet breakfast and for those who wish we offer more savory options.
Rooms
The rooms are positioned at the right distance from each other to guarantee intimacy and privacy for those who stay there, they are spacious, comfortable, quiet, and guarantee a pleasant and relaxing stay. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and complete with all modern accessories.
THE RESTAURANT
The structure does not have a restaurant but upon reservation we offer the possibility of setting up dinner with home-cooked dishes and in particular we recommend pasta with pesto and baked fish.
LOCATION
Dimora Garibaldi is located in the center of the small ancient town of Castelnuovo Magra, an Italian municipality located in eastern Liguria on the border with the Tuscan province of Massa Carrara. The village, perched on a hill, enjoys an aerial view of the plain below up to the sea coast. The Territory is characterized by various and clear environmental differences within the space of a few kilometres, which is why over the centuries very different cultural and social customs have been handed down among the local populations. From the Apuan Alps Park to the coasts of the Ligurian and Upper Tyrrhenian Seas, every small place hides a big world. You can admire alpine and maritime landscapes, discover gastronomic traditions based on the nature of the woods or linked to sea fishing. Not far from Dimora Garibaldi you will find an excellent historic trattoria, capable of blending the different culinary traditions of the area with enveloping dishes rich in seasonal flavours.
Among the many attractions we must remember the archaeological discoveries of the Stele Statues and of the ancient Roman city of Luni, woods and forests of the Apuan Alps, white Carrara marble, Cinque Terre, Gulf of Poets, Lunigiana, territory of a hundred Castles, signs and testimonies of the Gothic Line dating back to the Second World War, Sarzana, mother city of Pope Niccolò V Parentuccelli, founder of the Vatican library in Rome, charming places such as Forte dei Marmi or Pietrasanta, world capital for Sculpture.
