The welcome first of all. At the Palagetto we are not satisfied with just letting you spend a nice holiday in Tuscany, but we work hard to offer you a service that leaves its mark.
Pampering you will be our main concern, from when you pass the gates of our estate until the moment we have to say goodbye.
THE POOL
Our swimming pool, measuring 20 x 10 meters, is certainly one of our main strengths. Suitable for any person thanks to its variable depth (from 110cm to 170cm), it is accessible from the rooms and allows you to enjoy the paradisiacal panorama of the hills of Volterra and San Gimignano. Covered in mosaic, with a cascade edge on the exposed stone, it carries the bather in a dimension of infinite timeless space. "Tuscany People" points us out among the 6 most beautiful panoramic swimming pools in the whole of Tuscany.
Rooms
Furnished in the typical Tuscan style, the 23 rooms of the Palagetto are ideal for any type of traveller: you can choose, according to your needs, between quadruple rooms, triple rooms, double rooms and, last but not least, our petit chambre. We would like to underline that two of our rooms have been designed to make the stay pleasant also for our guests with disabilities. Particular attention has been paid to the creation of the bathrooms, which are large and decorated by hand. Three of our rooms have a whirlpool bath and six have an airpool shower to satisfy particular relaxation needs.
THE RESTAURANT
What would Tuscany be without the delicious flavors of its traditional cuisine? For us, local specialties are a way to get to know and appreciate the area, which is why at the adjoining restaurant "Le Terrazze del Palagetto" we offer the best that our land has to offer. The theme of our cuisine is simple, we offer our guests typical dishes of Tuscan and Volterra cuisine.
Which? crostini alla Volterrana, lardo di colonnata, pappardelle with wild boar or hare, spelled soup, Florentine steak, mixed grills, tasty local pecorino cheeses and homemade desserts… all washed down with excellent Chianti and Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
