Eremito

Dear Eremito is a contemporary hermitage, hotel, and retreat center that is a sanctuary for a digital detox experience and a celebration of a simple uncluttered life. Designed in the spirit of the ancient monasteries of this region, we are a hotel of 21 rooms (celluzze) and have a beautiful yoga/meditation space overlooking the valley. There is a jacuzzi and steam bath in our relax area and gorgeous common areas both inside and out. But the 3,000 hectares of natural reserve (Unesco) that surround Eremito and the resulting pure air, deep silence, and dense darkness at night, create the conditions for reconnection to the essential self and for deep transformation, growth, and healing. The original centuries old ruin was completely rebuilt as a hermitage with modern comforts. The hotel is eco-conscious with solar panels and warm water systems to heat the building. We also have our own organic vegetable garden. We are known for our silent dinner and we are leading the way in the digital detox phenomenon which is being increasingly recognized as fundamental to health and healing in the modern day. Eremito is a natural sanctuary for retreats and gatherings. Our yoga room is equipped with mats and other props, we have a meeting room with a projector and screen, a living room with a fireplace, a outside terrace that can also be used for yoga and gatherings as well as evening bonfires under the stars. We are located in Umbria half way between Rome and Florence and we are accessible in less than 2 hours from major airports. .
