Gropparello Castle, immersed in the landscape of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines on a rock promontory of volcanic origin, was born as a medieval fortification in the Vezzeno Valley. The manor, surrounded by Guelph battlements, is defended by towers, the entrance one with a drawbridge and the mighty central keep.
Inside the park of Gropparello Castle lives the Fairy Tale Park, the first emotional park in Italy, which evokes the magical medieval atmosphere of knights, fairies, elves and witches. In 20 hectares of land there are paths, small hidden gardens, clearings among the centuries-old woods and since 2008 on one of these hills the Museum of the Nascent Rose has been created with 108 varieties of roses for a total of 1350 plants.
Rooms
Inside the Castle we find 1 exclusive Suite: The Barn Owl Tower. Suspended on the drawbridge, it has 4 rooms in sequence, all at the level of the treetops. The first room has a kitchenette for snacks and herbal teas, the second is the bridal bedroom with a canopy bed, the third and fourth are a lounge for relaxation
