The Castello del Capitano delle Artiglierie rises in the gentle hilly landscape of the Tuscan-Romagnolo pre-Apennines, near the Castrocaro spa, in the hinterland of the Adriatic Riviera.
It is an integral part of the fortress city of Terra del Sole, a very rare example of an ideal city, perfectly preserved, built at the behest of Cosimo I de' Medici in 1564 by Baldassarre Lanci.
Born as a military structure, today it presents itself to its visitors as a manor with halls with wooden ceilings or enriched by frescoes by Felice Giani, where it is possible to stay overnight and enjoy, immersed in an atmosphere of ancient charm, gastronomic specialties and fine Tuscan-Romagna wines .
The galleries where there were once guard posts are now used for events, conferences and conventions, while from the large terrace overlooking the lush park, guests of the suite can contemplate the starry mantle with the moon illuminating the hills.
