Villa Astra was built in Venetian Floral Gothic style in 1905, as a summer residence for Camilla and Nicolò Guerra. Today it is still one of the most beautiful villas in Lovran, splendidly located in a peaceful spot by the sea. Each one of Villa Astra’s spacious, individually designed rooms overlooks the garden and the sea. The interior is decorated with a mixture of antique and contemporary décor, with impressive artworks adding to its stylish appeal. Guests at Villa Astra are accommodated in six comfortable, spacious, elegant and modernly appointed suites. Each room is decorated with bright hues and precious drapery and fabrics and individually named after the great people who contributed to make Lovran and Opatija popular tourist resorts. Clement is an intimate romantic suite decorated in red hues and preciously appointed with the finest fabrics; its balcony overlooks both the garden and the sea. Ema is a particularly quiet room, finely decorated in lavender blue hues and with large windows looking onto the green tree tops and the blue sea waters. The wide and bright Tilla suite, decorated in soft pastel hues, inspires a sense of peacefulness and cheerfulness.

The great specialities and distinctive tastes of Dalmation and Istrian cuisine are the pride of Villa Astra Restaurant. The chef takes care of the finest gastronomic tradition with a touch of inventiveness and creativity in the arrangement of light and healthy dishes, always prepared with the best fresh local produce in season. Specialities include wild asparagus, highly appreciated Kvarner scampi and lamb from the Cres Island. The chef's skill will lead guests along a most pleasant taste trail and the discovery of genuine, organic raw materials.
The restaurant has been restored in the spirit of the golden days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, with great care for precious details. Guests can choose to enjoy their meals in the Austrian, Croatian or Hungarian lounge.

The wide Spa area is housed on the ground floor of the Villa. The flotation therapy room and the steam cabin provide deep relaxation with pain-relieving, anti-stress treatment. LOCATION
Lovran is an attractive seaside resort of medieval origin on the eastern coast of Istria, an intimate enclave of luxurious villas and gardens. The town sits at the foot of the Nature Park of Ucka mountain, on the Opatija Riviera, a well-known and popular seaside resort area in the Kvarner Bay for over two hundred years.
