WELCOME TO MATERA, THE CITY OF STONES - UNESCO HERITAGE

The uniqueness and uniqueness of Matera is made up of the "Sassi" district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, a heritage considered an expression of an ancient life from the protohistoric civilizations of the Bronze Age to monastic communities, up to to the metropolitan margin where one of the most imposing epics of the southern peasant subservient and consumed concentrated on the latifundia of this land. Sextantio is a cultural recovery project of 18 caves, some of exceptional size, and of a common space in an ancient cave church.

There are 18 rooms, almost all inside the caves, including a reception room and an impressive common cave (historically it was also a church) where all the conviviality events will take place. The choice made to try to enhance these forms was to design geometric, minimalist and minimalist furnishings. The furniture, almost all of our construction, has often been recessed into the rock so as not to lose continuity in a form of fusion with the original structure (in such irregular surfaces the furniture acquires a curious "status" of irreversible precariousness).
