The History The history of the villa traces the rise and vicissitudes of the Personali family from the 12th century, when they participated in the Crusades and moved from the Holy Roman Empire to northern Italy, settling in Bedulita in the Valle Imagna. Elevated to counts in 1308, the Personali founded the village of “Case di Personé.” In 1472, a branch of the family moved near Mirandola, Modena, where they developed ties with the local nobility of the Pico family and transformed a 12th-century tower into a noble villa known as “La Personala.” This villa became a community landmark, hosting significant events until the tragic earthquake of 2012 severely damaged it. Restored in 2021, Villa “La Personala” has been reborn as a symbol of prestige and community rebirth.
