Venissa is a perfect example of a "walled vineyard". The estate is in fact composed of a cultivated area of ​​over 2 hectares and is entirely surrounded by medieval walls rebuilt in 1727.To make the place even more suggestive, full of peace and silence, is the soaring fourteenth-century bell tower of the Church of San Michele Arcangelo , built in the 11th century. The estate houses orchards and vegetable gardens, dedicated to the cultivation of Venetian specialties, and a fishpond with typical lagoon fish.

Rooms

The estate has 6 rooms. Each room is equipped with every comfort, for those looking for a quality stay. Mazzorbo's rooms are located within the walled vineyard, together with the restaurant and the contemporary tavern. The Comfort rooms have a size of 15 square meters and are equipped with: 1 queen size bed, exclusive furnishings and objects of art, ceilings with exposed beams, wooden floor, private bathroom with shower, bathrobes, hairdryer and bathroom set, Wi-Fi Free, minibar, safe and air conditioning, Gourmet breakfast included.

THE RESTAURANT

Immersed in the quiet of the walled vineyard, the Starred Restaurant (one Michelin Star) in Venissa will make you live a culinary experience closely linked to the territory of the Native Venice. A unique place where the greenery and the scents of the lagoon are the protagonists. Inside our estate, the elders of Mazzorbo take care of their gardens, our Chefs collect the herbs, and, all around, the fishermen of Burano carry on the local fishing tradition. The philosophy that chefs Chiara Pavan and Francesco Brutto propose sustainable and avant-garde cuisine. Theirs is an environmental cuisine. Venissa's environmental cuisine describes, on the one hand, a dependence and great consistency between the dishes on offer and the surrounding environment. On the other hand, it denotes an almost obsessive attention to the "environmental issue", and therefore to issues as topical as the reduction of waste, self-production, proximity supply, seasonality, and recovery. The structure also has an Osteria, a place where time passes more slowly, among the scents and flavors of the Venice lagoon. In our Osteria Contemporanea you will find lagoon-inspired dishes with a modern spirit - from seasonal cicchetti to the catch of the day, passing through a selection of sea and land first courses. A place to share flavors, a bottle of wine and a moment of relaxation in an evocative setting that varies with each season - from the Cantinone room to the Sottoportico overlooking the vineyard.
