GOVONE village, inhabited since Roman times with its castle, one of summer residence of the family Savoia, the Kings of Italy. The castle was declared in 1997 as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. The village is famous also for its unique of its kind Christmas Market in december.
ASTI, ancient Roman city ( HASTA ) with the magnificient Vittorio Alfieri palace and several museum of the Italian Revival period.
In Asti, many churches and old bell towers and, last but not least, the famous PALIO di Asti, an horses race, more ancient that the Palio of Siena. The "Palio" is in September.
