Agriturismo Ca' Gianin
Located in the heart of the rural village of Vervio, between Tirano and Bormio, Agriturismo Ca' Gianin is born from the restoration of an ancient 17th-century settlement that once belonged to the owners' great-grandparents. Spanning 1000 sq.m., the property masterfully blends the historic charm of stone and wood with modern design elements. The "Abies" agricultural farm, established in 2003, is the beating heart of the project, carrying forward a family tradition rooted in forestry and a love for the land.
Hospitality
The welcome is warm and family-like. At the farmhouse, guests can purchase genuine products from the Valtellina region: from fresh cheeses and yogurt to fruit nectars and jams (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) produced on-site since 2020 with low percentages of added sugars.
Rooms
The 11 rooms are distributed across three levels, including an independent unit designed for guests with disabilities. Each room is characterized by different types of wood that scent the environment and a unique style combining contemporary comfort with Valtellina tradition.
THE RESTAURANT
The restaurant is a temple of the zero-kilometer philosophy. The dishes strictly follow seasonality, using flours, vegetables, and small fruits grown directly by the farm. Special mention goes to the grill: selected cuts with meticulous aging, cooked with Cuban wood, alongside innovative techniques like low-temperature sous-vide cooking.
LOCATION
Vervio is a strategic point at the foot of Mount Masuccio. From here, guests can reach the Susen mountain pastures, the Alpe Schiazzera refuge with its alpine lakes, or embark on the Sentiero Italia towards Val Grosina. The close proximity to Val Poschiavo also allows for quick excursions toward St. Moritz
