LOCATION
Frosinone is the capital town of Ciociaria, a historic region of lower Latium. The town can boast very ancient origins and rises at the heart of Valle del Sacco: from the hillock in the historic centre you can enjoy the view of the Lepini mountain range. A town visit can start from the Cathedral with its salient patterned façade and access stone staircase and from the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Neve which was built in the 17th century on the spot where e miraculous event occurred. At the foot of the hill on which rises the historic centre , you can still see the ruins of the Roman Amphitheatre built between the first and second centuries AD. A scale model of the theatre and a collection of archaeological finds are exhibited in the Archeological Museum situated in the upper part of the town.
Not far from Frosinone you can enjoy relaxation at the spa town of Fiuggi, a delightful tourist resort surrounded by chestnut woods, oak and pine forests. A few minutes'drive away you reach Anagni, known as the Popes' town, since four Popes were born there; its historic centre is a surprising casket of Romanesque churches, belltowers, medieval squares and loggias. On the way to Sora you you could stop at Isola del Liri, where falls the Grande Cascata (Great Waterfall). If you follow the river Liri stream you will came across the Montecassino Abbey founded by Saint Benedict from Norcia on Mount Caio in 529 AD.

By car: exit Ferentino along A1 Motorway, then proceed on SS214 and on SP34 towards Fumone.
By train: Ferentino railway station on the Roma-Frosinone railway line, about 10 Km from the Residence.
By air: Roma Ciampino airport, about 75 Km away, or RomaFiumicino airport, about 90 Km away.
