Château de la Bouchatte
Located in the heart of the Allier department, just 17 km from Montluçon, Château de la Bouchatte is a neoclassical jewel built in 1875 by General Louis-Henri d'Auvergne. Following a meticulous renovation in 2019 by its owners Aurélie and Eric, the castle is today an exceptional retreat that blends historic charm with environmental responsibility. The property features a 16-hectare park and an ecological philosophy that makes it unique within the region.
HOSPITALITY
The welcome is warm and deeply connected to nature. The castle hosts a sanctuary for 35 animals (donkeys, sheep, horses) rescued from slaughter, living freely throughout the park. The property is also fully equipped for equine hospitality, offering paddocks and shelters for those traveling with their own horses. A billiard table, football and basketball fields, a pétanque court, and a children's play area are also available to guests.

Chambres d'hôtes: Five elegant bedrooms on the first floor of the castle, including two spectacular 80 sq.m. suites offering panoramic views over the estate.
Gîtes: Authentic lodgings located in private sections of the castle, ideal for families or groups looking for independence and historic character. All accommodations feature private sanitary facilities and grant access to the monumental lounges, the library, and the music room.
SPA
The wellness area (accessible to guests aged 8 and over) is an invitation to total relaxation. It features a spa (jacuzzi), a sauna, a massage jet shower, and a massaging armchair. It is the perfect space to rejuvenate after a day spent outdoors on the estate.
