The castle
Located in a dominant position over the Po valley, the Castello di Gabiano, one of the oldest and largest in Monferrato, is mentioned by historical sources as early as the eighth century.
Always a place of significant strategic and economic importance, this imposing manor was for a long time the scene of sieges and wars, passing through the dominations of the Montiglio, Gonzaga family up to the Duke Ferdinando of Mantua who, in 1622, ceded it to Agostino Durazzo Pallavicini granting him the title of Marquis of Gabiano.

The Suites
The castle is equipped with 12 exclusive sutes, the perfect refuge for a quality moment. The Suites are located within the small medieval village where the ancient hunting lodge and shops have been recently renovated with respect and attention, highlighting the view of the Castle and its extraordinary and preserved landscape.
Each environment is unique, ideal for discovering and enjoying the fascinating world of wine and the millenary history of the Castello di Gabiano in complete relaxation.

The restaurant
Obtained from the ancient vinegar factory, our restaurant is the product of a dream: a strong desire to preserve the millennial history of the Castello di Gabiano and give the opportunity to savor the local cuisine and relax while admiring the vineyards and meanders of the Po.
Every day in the Castle's garden, we collect vegetables and fruits.
Our products are free of chemicals, giving a unique and healthy flavor to the dishes prepared in the restaurant. In compliance with the requirements of Piedmontese farmhouses, the kitchen gives priority to suppliers of selected products from our region (km 0): vegetables, herbs and flowers grow free in the garden.

The maze
The labyrinth of the Castello di Gabiano, a historical monument, is one of the very rare documented examples of a labyrinth in the historical gardens of Piedmont.
