The guided circuit winds through the estate’s most captivating spots: you will visit the Chai des Collections — a veritable artistic and archaeological museum with over 300 objects tracing the history of wine from the 3rd century BC to the present day —, the temperature-controlled vat room and the ageing cellars. The route includes exceptional access to the property’s nuclear bunker, which safeguards a precious historic collection of 30,000 bottles. Set in Labarde, within the prestigious terroir of Margaux, resting on a plateau of fine gravel just a few metres from the Gironde estuary, Château Siran is one of the Médoc’s rising stars. Run since 2007 by Édouard Miailhe — the sixth generation of the same family to lead the estate since 1859 — the property boasts a unique history: its former owners (the family of the painter Toulouse-Lautrec) declined, out of political loyalty, the invitation to join the famous 1855 Classification, yet the sheer quality of its wines today places it firmly alongside the great Cru Classé.
