A two-hour day experience designed to discover the most authentic soul of Champagne through a guided tour that combines wine archaeology and family tradition. Guests will descend into the atmospheric vaulted underground cellars, hand-dug into the chalk, before visiting the estate's modern technical facilities. The tour concludes with a technical tasting of three prestigious traditional cuvées selected from the Lamiable and Lapie-Lamiable ranges, a pure expression of the finesse and aromatic complexity typical of the Montagne de Reims. A jacket is strongly recommended for the time spent in the cellars.
Founded in 1859 in the renowned Grand Cru village of Tours-sur-Marne, Maison Lamiable is a historic family estate today run with sensitivity and expertise by winegrowers Ophélie and Arnaud. The property spans 6 hectares of outstanding vineyards across three strategic terroirs of the Montagne de Reims: the Grand Crus of Tours-sur-Marne and Bouzy, and the Premier Cru of Billy-le-Grand, planted with Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%). The estate is run under certified sustainable farming (HVE and Viticulture Durable), banning pesticides and preserving biodiversity. Faithful to its terroir, the family vinifies the Grand Cru grapes separately, using ageing in oak barrels, long lees ageing and a solera method for its reserve wines.
⚠️ Accessibility note: due to their historic structure, the vaulted cellars are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
