Vera de Estenas farms its vineyards at kilometre 266 of the N-III, between Utiel and Requena, on the wine plateau a little over an hour from Valencia. The winery has been in the same family since 1919 and works mainly with bobal, the native grape of the DO Utiel-Requena, alongside varieties such as macabeo and tardana.
"El arte del maridaje" is the visit devoted to pairing wine with food. It takes in a walk through the rows, the barrel room and the family museum, and ends with a guided tasting of four wines served with local cheeses and cured meats, each one explained in terms of why the pairing works.
The visit runs every day at 12:00, by prior booking.
