Facing the Alhambra, on the other side of the Darro river, lie the two quarters that tell the story of another Granada. The Albaicín, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a maze of lanes, carmenes and viewpoints such as the Mirador de San Nicolás; Sacromonte is the district of cave houses, bound to Roma history and flamenco. The guided walking tour, about three hours long, crosses both. Palacete 1620 is a seventeenth-century noble residence on Plaza de los Lobos, in the historic centre of Granada, restored and converted into suites with kitchenettes. It retains its inner patio and the original features of the building. Reserved for adults, it is within walking distance of the cathedral, the Albaicín and the streets leading up to the Alhambra.
