A night in Rioja Alta, in a restored former noble palace in the centre of Zarratón, ten minutes from Haro. The stay includes breakfast and private parking; in the evening, dinner is a traditional Rioja menu in the palace restaurant.
The kitchen works with seasonal produce and local recipes; drinks are not included and are ordered on the spot, starting from the list of Rioja appellation wines. It is the simplest way to end a day among the bodegas of Haro, the cathedral of Santo Domingo de la Calzada or the monasteries of San Millán de la Cogolla, without getting back in the car.
The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays: the date of the dinner is agreed with the hotel once the booking is confirmed.

Hospedería Palacio de Casafuerte is a noble palace in the centre of Zarratón, restored by the Lombillo-Vozmediano family while keeping its ashlar stone façade, coats of arms, high ceilings and original floors. Rooms, from the Double to the Suite, have traditional furnishings, some with four-poster beds, private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and, in most cases, a private balcony.
