A 2-hour guided walk through the most romantic and dreamlike district of Paris. Set on a hill to the north of the city, Montmartre was the cradle of Impressionism and the Belle Époque, as well as a refuge for legendary artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Modigliani and Renoir. To avoid the steepest stairways and the mass tourist crowds, we will climb the hill gently, following less-trodden paths that reveal the area's authentic "little village" atmosphere, among historic windmills and even a hidden vineyard.
The tour begins in front of the iconic Moulin Rouge, the cabaret that made can-can history. Along the way we will see the famous café from the film Amélie, pause beneath the windows of the house where Vincent van Gogh lived, and discover the stories of the legendary Moulin de la Galette immortalised by Renoir. Amid tales of the martyrdom of Saint Denis and a tribute to Dalida in her square, we will pass the picturesque Maison Rose and the historic Le Lapin Agile cabaret. Once at the top, in front of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, you will enjoy a breathtaking view over the whole of Paris, before immersing yourself among the painters' easels in the historic Place du Tertre and taking a photo in front of the famous Mur des Je t'aime (Wall of Love).
