Loggiato dei Serviti has its roots in the history of Florence: built between 1517 and 1527 on a project by Antonio da Sangallo il Vecchio, it was chosen by the "Servants of Mary" as a place to welcome traveling prelates. Its design is inspired by the harmonious elegance of Brunelleschi’s Hospital dei Serviti, located opposite. After being for centuries the residence of the religious order, the palace was transformed into a hotel in 1924. A careful restoration has brought to light the Renaissance and eighteenth-century soul, returning to guests the authentic charm of a Florence of yesteryear.
